Ye' all got this problem or not:

The clutch lever is macam like a hand-grip exerciser. I think after one month using the bike, especially if tiam tiam kena traffic jam, the left hand will be strong enough to break a leg or two. Unlike brake lever, there is no screw (or what you call that thing) to adjust the clutch lever tension. Bike shop recommend change to other Honda levers which are slightly longer and can screw the tension..Anybody got done that? Good or not?

Thanks..
You can always change it to a pair with tension screws.

are you saying up to the plug caps? or the screw thread that goes into the block??
Cos the 2nd one would definitely have some oil stains...and the colour and thickness of the stains tell somethng...somtiems engine oil too much. BUT if its up to the plug cap and its wet...mayb you could recheck again.mayb plug cap leak? Do update .

hi SpEr,

it's ur camp gasket's minor leaking or the air/fuel mixture too rich.

common n minor plm. changing of gasket will cost less than Sgd30, re-adjust the mixture will depend on the work shop's fee.

Since you guys brought this up...have any of you ever check the quantity level of engine oil in the indicator below near the lower ferring?? Does it seems to reduce in time ..?Isit suppose to be normal or cos of block gasket leaking..

hi cbkooky,

nice to see u here..

if it's not the cam cover leaking the engine oil will tend to vapourise as u ride thru-out longer service intervals....

new bike also will have the same plm during long hual rides..dont worry. the oil level will drop rapidly if the piston ring n piston r worn, common syntom is white smoke occured from the pipe.

will u be joining us for the meet up next week..?

i have 2 of my freinds riding stx...

Good Points: better handling, shorter in length, lighter.
Bad Points:Smaller compartment. More expensive, when dismantling more troublesome.

uhh.... Don't think so unless they have a Gold Wing and compared it with STX. Bikers whom switch from ST11 to STX has found that the compartment is bigger. Current ST11, when you put your FF helmet, you have to make sure it's alignment with the box, if not, you can't close it. As for STX, put it in, and close. No worries about alignment.

Coincidentally, I also know 2 STX riders

there's a cosy place along margaret drive, it's call queenstown club.

it's convenient for parking n a refreshment stall also, next to it is a billard room.

any objection...? shall we fixed it on tuesday 1930hrs or bit later..?

hi genoble,

ST1100's saddle box i'm not very sure of it's mass but it's large enough for any full-face helmet, n it's completely water proofed. also detachable for servicing n cleaning.

place ur budget nicely before committing for 1.

Simon Soh
Wow, the side box can put in fullface, that very good!

Got another question, for those shopping centre where most of the time, bike will go in by the side of the beam where there will be no obstruction, for ST11, is it too narrow for it to cross? If too narrow, what do you guys do?

You can approach the entrances to the carpark slowly so that you can estimate for yourself which entrance having the shortest barricade.....

Usually for most shopping centre carparks, the extreme left lane is the one having the shortest except for a few places.........

If caught in the situation entering the lane with the long barricade type, you can try lifting it slightlly higher than the side mirror so as to 'squeeze' in......

Hehehe....

i saw ST13 the other day dam nice bike man! i think the ppl at honda did a nice slightly biger brother for the ST11 with the ST13. i also saw the yamaha FJR the one like the ST i don't like it as much in design wise but it is cheaper with about the same of better performance specs. oh well another bike to add to the DREAM bike list.
hope i not too talking about the ST13 in a ST11 page. but u guys are the best ppl to tok to about ST right? hehe!

hi amen23,

steering core should not be tight,
tight might indicate ur clone bearing had wore out.

the steering should be smooth and stable(not tight).

simon or gopa r the best people to test ur bike. u can trust thier word

btw i stay at sembawang rd.

hi amen23,

generally all old/worn tyres will wobble ur steering.

faulty or loose steering cone will have let u have the same defects also, check ur front tyre if it's 40% balance.

nothing much to be alarm unless u out-ride other ST riders this defect is still bearable, do a complete check n replace if neccessary when u have more budget.

u can call me if u need my immediate assistance.
