Default Pulsar 200 NS - Buzz Sound, Can't Start Engine

Anyone knows the problem for this? Engine gives a buzzing sound when pressing ignition... read up a bit, might be due to faulty starter motor or rusty/corroded "solenoid contacts". Advisable to self-repair or tow to shop? Fuel is almost full (the gauge is faulty).

Just an update... the old battery 100% chop died (3 year old), couldn't jumpstart even with my friend's car battery. Replaced with new one + installation at my home carpark for $140.

Next time try diy. Buying a new batt + replacing on your own should cost you less than $100.

Speaking of which, what is the expected service life of motorcycle batteries? Would replacing it at 2 year mark be good enough preventive maintenance?
