I believe urs is a 1993-1994 Indonesian Exclusive 2 150 (also known as PX150). It has 1 of the toughest engine (better than the Excel).

Keep the bike well, respray, service the engine well, & it will serve you for a long time. Very reliable machine.

    My 2 cents....

too many to say...if not properly taken care of n especially after 4yrs most stuff on the bike will suffer wear n tear (well happens on all bikes actually)..

1st b4 being able to recommend wat to change or paying attention to, u will need to know the service history of ur ride if that is unavailable, then perhaps reading thru the 1st few pages of this thread will be helpful...will be even more helpful if u can complete reading the whole thread.

the fiLter itseLf is 40 bro.. ur friend must've asked the shop to instaL it as weLL.. which incLudes a change of jetting size if necessary.. so must open the carb n aLL that Labor. ur friend did at mach speed is it? i know they charge that price. my fc's a LiL over 27km/L which i'm happy with. i think it wins in terms of Looks as weLL. much more cLeaner Look in ur carb area.
so far i've onLy used hurricane. never tried other brands.. there's another type of fiLter which Looks simiLar to hurricane.. cheaper.. 18 bucks.. no brand but works just as weLL. u can find them at B PLUS aLong Lavender. but u gotta instaLL urseLf tho. fitting it is easy cos its direct mount.. but u have to pLay ard with the jet size to get the setup rite.

ya. mine collected near 2 litre of water some time back. sent to Piaggio, Mr yap flush and drew 2 l of water out.

he also got no solution, guess the fuel cap need a cover.

i swoppped the fuel cap over, that is now the flip up catch is at 12 o clock instead of 6 o clock

if its a new bike then its normaL to have a weird smeLL whiLe running in.. new bikes n engines n pipes have a thin Layer of oiL to protect it whiLe in storage. when the bike is bought.. aLL those oiL wiLL burn off n exit thru ur exhaust.

u can check out the 3 shops at kaLLang ave. sunrise eurobike.. taihin n future scootering.. they shouLd be abLe to get ur box fixed. check out the advertisers board for their address.

weLcome to the auto scoot worLd.

Default Fuel tank issues, Gilera runner vxr 2007

Hi mates, just got the bike yest. Mine's 1st hand. Heard some reviews that water can easily seep into the gas tank. Went to the Kallang scooter shops, the solution is a kinda ugly rubber fabric or leather patch covering the fuel pump inlet. Any other tips or advise on countering this? No nonsense responses please. Thanks.

Cool How to remove a Gilera VXR 200 (2006 edition) fairing.

Hi I just bought a gilera vxr 200 2006 model and i want to do a D.I.Y spray painting of the bike but i do not know how to dismantle most of the fairing parts. can anyone give me some tips? I'm new. Plus, is it required to report to any authority regarding the change of colour of your bike?

This is easy....take a screw driver n some allen keys then start exploring.

I wonder who can explain in detail without pics how to dismantle the whole set of fairing parts in a forum

Thanks.
    Modify the fuel tank cap!

Mine so far no problem without any cover!

    Thanks mates for your comments.

Satgi have anoher query, will water seep in thru the part I highlighted in yellow? (Refer to pic)

On another issue, by changing to either Leo Vince or other aftermarket pipes, how's the response like for low, mid and high end? How's the feel? Right now I'm quite happy with the mid and high, but low end, esp from moving off, a bit sluggish. Which pipes can give more low end, make it more torquey, without compromising mid to high?

I'm on bone stock. still running in. Anyway, I'm doing a hard run in, speed at ard 110, rpm ard 7-8 max with hard acceleration and braking. Any adverse effects form this? Hope not. Ha ha.

How's the FC after changing to after market? I'm doing ard 28km/litre right now. Which is quite good comparing to my previous ride. Ha ha. But I've heard of the same model getting 30km/l. Just curious.

There is no way water can get into the fuel tank from the yellow part u highlighted.

u will have better moving off but mid and high end not much effected.
